ARDEN/DADDY JAM SESSION

ARDEN/DADDY JAM SESSION

I found this audio just recently from a recording off my iPhone.  Arden and I jam quite often on my guitar and sing to, or about the Lord.  This was just one of many jam sessions we had.  It’s worth the listen and hopefully will make you laugh as well as love the Lord more.   To view this music player you need to have Flash Player 9 or newer installed and JavaScript enabled. ARDEN ACCOUNTABILITY

ARDEN ACCOUNTABILITY

Several days ago I (Richee) was doing the normal evening routine which included Arden taking a bath.  He stripped down to his bare buns and jumped into his bath with his normal gitty giggle. I left him there to help Grace with Eliana and get his bedtime process ready.  Everything seemed to be going as planned and Arden’s bath time usually goes off without a hitch as part of the nighttime routine. But this night was different. I came back to the bathroom probably 10 minutes later with a layer of water covering the ENTIRE bathroom floor and soaking the mat on the floor.  I was really surprised because Arden has always been good at keeping the water in the tub and fully knows that is the main rule concerning bath time.  After a long day with...

Birth: A Reminder Of Ultimate Hope

Birth: A Reminder Of Ultimate Hope

Yesterday morning my little girl was birthed into the world, leaving me stunned by God’s creative genius and overwhelmed by the amount of love that He places in the heart of a father for their child.  At around 4pm today, just 12 hours after the labor process had begun, it was my job to go pick up my parents (grandma and grandpa) and Arden (big brother) from our apartment in order to escort them over to the hospital to see our new little Eliana Joy I left the hospital in pursuit of coffee, which I desperately needed, and found some right down the road at Caribou Coffee. For most that know me here in Minnesota, that isn’t my favorite coffee place and most the time feel as though the coffee tastes burnt.  After getting rebuked by the drive...

EJP…What Does It Stand For???

EJP…What Does It Stand For???

As we wait for our little ladies arrival we thought we would share her name with you and what it means to us.  Eliana means “God is responding” or “God is answering.” Besides the fact that many people prayed that I would have a girl and God answered, her name has an additional meaning to me.  I believe that one day Jesus the Messiah will split the sky, return and judge the wicked and the righteous.  On that day we will see God’s ultimate answer, receive our resurrected bodies and enter His Kingdom on this earth.  Meaning, I’m not just going to sit on a cloud somewhere and play a harp. But I’ll have a part in something far greater.  Which makes this life and how I live mean so much more…not out of...

Discussing The Bible With A 3 Year Old

Discussing The Bible With A 3 Year Old

I (Richee) cannot fully describe how powerful it is to discuss the Word of God with my son at this present time.   When he was younger and I couldn’t converse with him because of the language barrier, there was something in me that strongly desired for these days to come.  Where I could discuss the revelation of my heart with him but also hear and see him share (with fervent passion) the revelation of his heart with me concerning the Bible.  Part of my desire is connected to the radical changes God has done in me over the past 2 years, and badly desiring for Arden to know what I didn’t know at such a young age.  Giving opportunity right now for his heart to discover the Lord in ways that I discovered in my early...
